Helping parents decide what to do next.

Walden Weekly started because I know how overwhelming parenting can feel, especially when you're trying to fill another day, keep a little one entertained and work out what's actually worth leaving the house for.

There are so many brilliant classes, groups and family activities around Saffron Walden and the surrounding villages, but finding them often means searching Facebook, jumping between websites or relying on recommendations in local groups.

My aim is simple: to bring everything together in one place and make it easier for parents to decide what to do next.

Honest recommendations

Trust is really important to me.

If I've visited somewhere myself, I'll share my own experience.

If I haven't, I'll always say so. Where appropriate, I'll include recommendations and feedback from other local parents, so you know exactly where the information has come from.

You'll never find me pretending to have visited somewhere I haven't.

More than just a timetable

A list of classes is useful, but it doesn't tell you what parents actually want to know.

Whenever I can, I'll include practical information like:

Is there easy parking?

Is it buggy friendly?

Are there baby changing facilities?

Is it suitable for nervous toddlers?

Does it get busy?

Is booking essential?

Is it genuinely worth the money?

Sometimes those little details make all the difference when deciding where to go.

Kept up to date

I regularly review listings to keep times, prices and information as accurate as possible.

If something changes or you spot something that's out of date, I'd genuinely love to hear from you so I can update it for everyone.

Walden Weekly is built for local families, and keeping it accurate is something we can all help with.

Supporting our local community

Walden Weekly exists to support local classes, community groups, charities, cafés and small businesses that make our area such a brilliant place to raise children.

If you run a class, organise family events or think I've missed something, please get in touch. I'd love to hear about it.

A small favour

If Walden Weekly has helped you discover a new class, find something to do on a rainy day or simply made life a little easier, the best way you can support the site is by sharing it with another parent.

Every recommendation helps more local families discover what's on nearby.

Thank you

Thank you for visiting Walden Weekly.

Whether you've found one new class or become a regular visitor, I really appreciate you being here.

I hope Walden Weekly helps make parenting feel just a little bit easier, one day at a time.
