Playgroup Lowdown
We’ve now been to Little Party Factory more than once and absolutely love it. Thoughtful themed activities, lots of movement and a brilliant venue make this one very easy to turn into a whole morning out.
What it’s like
We first tried Little Party Factory for its Very Hungry Caterpillar session and I was genuinely impressed by how much thought had gone into it. It wasn’t simply singing around a story. The children became caterpillars, crawled through tunnels collecting food, transformed into butterflies, used props, moved, sang and even got to see real caterpillars and a newly hatched moth.
We’ve been back since and loved it again, which for me is always the real test of a playgroup.
Sasha puts a huge amount into the sessions. They are active and engaging without feeling chaotic, with an educational thread running through the play without it ever feeling like formal learning. My little girl gets properly involved, which is lovely to watch.

Music and singing
Movement and instruments
Props and hands on activities
The venue
Radwinter Pavilion is a bit of a hidden gem. It feels clean, calm and peaceful rather than like a noisy village hall, and the acoustic treatment helps stop the room becoming painfully loud when it is full of excited little people.
There is parking, toilets and baby changing, space for buggies and free tea and coffee for grown ups.
And the best bit is outside: there is a playground and a little concrete bike track tucked behind the Pavilion.
Bring wheels!
If your little one has a balance bike or scooter, bring it along with their helmet. The little concrete track behind the Pavilion is brilliant for a whizz around after the session, and the playground is right there too.
Price & booking
This is more of a regular class commitment than a casual weekly drop in, so check current spaces directly with Sasha.
Parking & practical bits
There is parking at the Pavilion. If you are staying for the playground or bike track afterwards, I like the lower car park because you can move straight from the class to the outside areas without putting everyone back in the car.
Walden Weekly tip
Don’t rush home when the session finishes. We usually head straight outside afterwards. Bring a balance bike or scooter and helmet if you have one, have a go on the little concrete track and then head to the playground.
It turns a one hour class into a really lovely morning out and is one of the reasons I rate this venue so highly.
Personally recommended
This is now one I’m very happy to personally recommend. We loved our first visit, went back and loved it again. Sasha is brilliant with the children, the sessions feel genuinely thoughtful, and Radwinter Pavilion gives you so much more than just the hour you booked.
Before you go
Sessions are themed and details can change, so check the latest Little Party Factory information before your first visit. Sasha can confirm current spaces and payment details.
